  • Uses and Features

The SWH series three-dimensional motion mixer is a cutting-edge material‑mixing machine widely used in the pharmaceutical, chemical, food, light‑industry sectors, as well as in research institutions. It can blend powdery or granular materials with excellent flowability extremely uniformly, ensuring optimal mixing results.

    Working principle

The SWH series three-dimensional motion mixer operates on a principle distinct from that of conventional rotary mixers. It generates unique translational, rotational, and rocking motions within a three-dimensional space, subjecting the materials in the mixing vessel to complex movement patterns—such as “rotational flow–translation–inverted free fall”—known as the TURBULA state. This produces alternating pulses that continuously propel the material, while the turbulence induced by these motions creates a variable energy gradient. As a result, individual particles within the blend assume diverse states of motion, frequently diffusing and shifting their positions, thereby achieving an excellent mixing outcome.

The two most critical drawbacks in material blending are: first, the presence of centrifugal force during mixing, which can cause segregation of materials with different densities; and second, the tendency of blended materials to form lumps and accumulate, preventing effective dispersion and uniform incorporation. The three-dimensional motion mixer overcomes these shortcomings and is currently regarded as an ideal, high‑efficiency blending device worldwide. Its mixing drum operates in multiple directions, eliminating centrifugal forces and thereby preventing density‑induced segregation and layering, as well as material buildup. It can handle components with widely varying weight ratios, achieving a blending efficiency exceeding 99.9% and a maximum filling factor of up to 0.8 (compared to 0.4–0.6 for conventional mixers). With its high efficiency, short mixing times, and compact footprint, it is a truly energy‑saving, high‑performance blending machine.

    Structural features

The machine consists of a Tecte Taiji mixing drum, a frame, a rotating wall, an electric motor, a reduction gear, and other components. Its electrical control system features variable-frequency speed regulation. Both the inner and outer drums are fabricated from high‑quality SUS‑304 stainless steel; the inner drum undergoes meticulous mirror‑polishing, while the outer drum is finished with a matte brushed polish. During material mixing, the flow is excellent with no dead zones, ensuring no contamination. The feed inlet employs a clamp‑type connection, and the discharge outlet is equipped with a stainless‑steel butterfly valve that provides tight sealing. The equipment is easy to operate and simple to clean. The frame is constructed from 8‑gauge channel steel, and the exterior walls are made of brushed SUS‑304 sheet metal, delivering a smooth, aesthetically pleasing surface that meets GMP validation requirements.
