Main components:
Fermentation vessel: Primarily used for cultivating various microbial strains; it must be tightly sealed to prevent contamination.
The tank is equipped with an agitator to continuously stir the contents during fermentation.
A sparger with bottom aeration, used to introduce air or oxygen required for microbial growth.
The top of the vessel is equipped with control sensors, the most commonly used being pH and DO electrodes, which monitor changes in the fermentation broth’s pH and dissolved oxygen levels during the fermentation process. A controller is employed to display and regulate fermentation conditions, among other functions.
Structural characteristics:
1. Online CIP cleaning and SIP sterilization (121°C/0.1 MPa) are possible.
2. Designed to meet hygienic standards, with a highly user-friendly structural design that ensures convenient operation. The drive system operates smoothly and generates low noise.
3. Optimized diameter-to-height ratio design, with custom‑designed agitators to meet specific requirements, ensuring energy efficiency and excellent mixing and fermentation performance.
4. The inner tank surface is mirror-polished (roughness Ra ≤ 0.4 µm); all process openings—including inlet and outlet nozzles, sight glasses, manholes, and other access ports—are seamlessly transitioned with a stretched‑flanged design, ensuring smooth contours that are easy to clean with no dead corners, thereby guaranteeing the reliability and stability of the production process and compliance with cGMP and other relevant regulatory requirements.
