A distillation kettle is a vessel used in the distillation process of chemical production. It was specifically designed to address the issue with conventional distillation kettles, which require intermittent shutdowns for maintenance and cleaning when the feed contains solid particles or high-boiling components.

Main uses
This unit is suitable for the recovery of dilute alcohol in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food processing, light industry, and chemical manufacturing. It is also applicable to the distillation of other solvents, including methanol. Depending on user requirements, the unit can distill dilute alcohol at around 30°C into alcohol with a strength of 95%–99%. If higher product alcohol concentrations are desired, the reflux ratio can be increased; however, this will correspondingly reduce the production capacity.

Features
This unit employs high‑efficiency metal stainless‑steel packing. The distillation column is constructed entirely of stainless steel, which prevents iron filings from clogging the packing and thereby extends the equipment’s service life. All components that come into contact with alcohol—such as the condenser, pressure‑regulating tank, and cooling coil—are made of stainless steel to ensure that the finished alcohol remains uncontaminated. The distillation kettle is fitted with a detachable U‑shaped heating element; during maintenance, this element can be removed from the kettle, facilitating thorough cleaning of both its outer surface and the kettle wall. This unit supports both batch and continuous operation.
