Equipment Overview
The V‑type mixer is used for the uniform blending of powders. It is suitable for industries such as pharmaceuticals, food processing, chemicals, metallurgy, and electronics, where two or more dry powdered or granular materials need to be mixed. The V‑type mixer features a uniquely designed mixing chamber: mechanical drive causes the material inside the V‑shaped cylindrical vessel to undergo reciprocating tumbling, achieving thorough and even mixing. The mixing drum is typically fabricated from stainless steel, with both inner and outer surfaces polished; its structural design minimizes material buildup, ensures rapid mixing, and shortens mixing times, while also facilitating easy cleaning.
Working principle
The V‑shaped mixer consists of a vessel formed by welding two cylindrical sections together, with the overall geometry being asymmetrical about the axis. Due to the rotational motion, powder particles within the inclined cylinder undergo continuous, alternating cycles of shearing, splitting, and recombination. Material is randomly transferred from one zone to another, while interparticle sliding occurs, leading to multiple spatial superpositions. Particles are continually redistributed onto newly exposed surfaces, resulting in repeated shearing and diffusive mixing.
